Enjoyed your story "Poughkeepsie" in Dark Sky. Leads up to an interesting moment the reader is anticipating. Congrats!
ReplyDeletethanks for reading jenn. im glad you liked!
ReplyDeleteI just had a look at Poghkeepsie. Very nice. I got a Tom Waits buzz going in my head in the first few paragraphs and this line, "The entire store appeared empty apart from a lone cashier playing with the Velcro on her beige wrist splint," was brilliant. It was ALL I needed to know to put me right in that damned gigantic Walmart. Both characters were entirely sympathetic. Now I must mine the web for more of your stuff.
ReplyDeleteDamn of course I had to misspell Poughkeepsie. Sorry.
ReplyDeletehey steven - thanks for reading! i'm glad you liked this one & i appreciate the shout.
